Good old days
Good Old Days is a cliché in popular culture. In American particularly through sound recordings of the country music genre, it has certain established traits:
- Good Old Days is also the name of the instrumental theme song for the Our Gang comedies, now known as The Little Rascals.
- The Good Old Days was a UK television series recreating Victorian music hall variety.
- The Good Old Days is also the name of a song by UK band The Libertines on their album Up the Bracket.
- Good Old Days is also the name of the song by "Weird Al" Yankovic, whose lyrics first describe aspects of the narrator's seemingly idyllic childhood before later revealing how cruel and sadistic he truly is: torturing small animals, his kindly neighbour, and his high school girlfriend for no apparent reason.
